Reflections portrays a journey reflecting physical and psychological change and, ultimately heightened awareness. This work seeks to explore the capacity to create life. Two dancers, one dressed in dark brown, the other in white represent aspects of what it means to be female–one woman is pregnant. Duality is made explicit not only by the two dancers, one of which is “doubled” by the pregnancy, but also by the image processing that creates mirrored effects-reflections–by breaking up and restructuring shapes already fragmented. The images have been set to music composed using digital signal processed human voices.
